What is a Brokerage Account?
A brokerage account is the easiest way to buy and sell shares in a public or private Bahamian Company or Bonds issued by the Bahamas Government or Company It is a holding account, which conveniently places all of your investments into one location, which makes the trading of securities and the tracking of their performance easier.
Standard Brokerage
A CFAL Standard brokerage account is our basic brokerage account. It facilitates specific investing orders directed by the client. (This is strictly a trading relationship and not an advisory one). There is no minimum balance requirement, and you will receive a quarterly portfolio appraisal that includes activity summaries, as well as specific investment holdings and your transaction history.
Investment Management Account
This holding account is actively managed by a CFAL investment professional who will give you advice and if permitted will be able to manage your investments for you given agreed upon trading constraints. This type of account generally requires a minimum of $50,000 worth of assets under management because of the level of service and higher fees associated with this type of account. Your personal Investment Advisor monitors portfolio performance and will provide you with detailed quarterly analyses.
